Mexica Garden Seafood Restaurant, Kuantan

With over 100 parking bays in front of the restaurant, parking was a breeze. I walked in at 12 noon and noticed that the walls were adorned with lots of photos. A close look at the photos show that Mexica Garden Seafood serves Chinese cuisine (no pork served) and has been frequented by the Prime Minister as well as the Sultan of Pahang.

We ordered food for 8 pax. Here was what we had:-

Fried squid with salted eggs (RM30) – fried with curry leaves and tiny chillies, this was quite a spicy dish. The portion was huge.

This is their signature tofu (RM16)  – 2-toned tofu – the green part was yummy. I believe they used coconut for the green part & it was truly special.

Lotus root fried with sweet peas, anchovies, carrots and cloud ear (RM20) . Pleasing to the eyes and the palate. Love it!

This is yau mak fried with fu yee (RM20). This dish came as a surprise to me as it was cooked with lots of cili padi – a tad spicy for the kids!

Steamed fish with ginger (RM66)– the fish was slightly overcooked, hence I did not really enjoy it.
