Stadt, Bandar Puteri Puchong

We lost my way in Puchong all because we decided to give the GPS a day off…and the outcome of it was that we ended up at Stadt, a restaurant serving German cuisine. Think German food…..well, you don’t need to think too hard to get to 2 items i.e sausages and of course, good ole fatty pork!

We ordered 4 drinks :- Choco cabana (RM8.90) – reminded me of the oldie Copacabana . This is a combination of chocolate sauce, fresh banana and full cream milk. Be warned, however, that this drink is only suitable for those who love and crave for chocolate…not me, though, as this drink is very very ‘chocolate-y’.

Green goblin (RM8.90)  –a concoction of apples and mint. The teiseirre  minty drink had a sourish feel  and I loved it. What makes it even better is the fact that unlike pure apple juice, this drink doesn’t turn ‘brown’ (oxidise) with time.

Cherry bubble (RM6.90) – a  mixture of  teiserre vanilla and cherries topped up with Sprite. Well, this, I was told, is some sort of Italian soda.

Vanilla shake (RM7.90) – wow! This was awesome. The thick, whipped vanilla was simply to die for.

This is German salad (RM12.90)  our appetiser. I love the presentation of this salad, with its 3 huge onion rings on top! The raw onion gave the salad an extra ummph as the pungent onion went well with the sourish dressing. Do note that this salad is not for those health freaks out there as it was filled with lots of sinfully fat pork skin which had been deep fried. Yummy!

Combo mixed sausages (RM48.90) – with 5 different types of sausages in a large platter along with some mashed potatoes and some coleslaw , this was indeed the perfect food for any sausage lover out there.

Pork knuckle (RM41.90) – crispy on the outside – even better than any siew yoke (roasted pork) you can find in any Chinese restaurant! The inside was juicy and succulent. I loved every bite of this pork knuckle which was served with mustard sauce  so much  that I ordered one to bring home for dinner.

For flawless German food in a great ambience...it has to be Stadt.

Bayernhaus Restaurant

This place is actually quite hidden if you walk in from CapSquare. However, if you do find it you will realize that there is actually another entrance. To locate it, simply find Starbucks…it’s just nearby!

This is fresh orange and it costs RM12.50. I’ve no complaints about this drink. In fact I think it deserves a compliment as it was not too sweet yet tasty enough.

I ordered a salad. And they call this Taste of Summer. For RM18.90 you get a huge plate of fresh salad with pieces of chicken. The portion is sufficient to fill the tummy.

But, I eat a lot…so I ordered this as well…Grill Platter (RM68). You get various types of sausages, beef, pork and some salad (yes, again!). This was definitely a very satisfying dish and I loved every bite of it!
