Makan Trip to Ipoh- Restoran Foh San , Ipoh

This time we are heading approximately 200 kilometres North of the city of Kuala Lumpur. We left at 6am and arrived at  the city of Ipoh 2 hours later. Traffic was unbelievably clear on the highway. It was time for breakfast and so we headed to Jalan Leong Sin Nam, in search of Restoran Foh San.

First, we noticed that even at 8am it was very difficult to find a parking spot. I then realized that there are a few dim sum restaurants in the vicinity….Hmmm..Ipoh folks must really love their dim sum! After going round the place a couple of times, we finally found  parking. The illegal parking attendant asked for RM3 and we obliged….what else could we have done, right?
We walked into Foh San and there wasn’t a single table available on the ground floor. We proceeded upstairs and even on the first floor almost all tables were occupied. We got a table and quickly made a beeline for the dim sum spread….mind you, if wasn’t a ‘eat-all-you-can’ buffet, but nevertheless we had to queue.
Here are some of the food we walloped for breakfast:-

This is the jelly which was a favourite among many children in Foh San that day, so we gave it a try. At RM3.40 each I personally find the price slightly steep.
