The Mill, Millenium Hotel, KL

The Mill is probably one of the best hidden treasures in the golden triangle area in terms of buffets. I went there and was utterly stunned by the extremely sumptuous  spread they had.

The Indian food was excellent – naan, biryani rice, chicken masala and vegetarian dalca was some of the food I had.

The pasta was well cooked and I loved them especially the fettucine ala casa. The were even pizzas for the true pizza lover.

The sautéed garden vegetable was a feast for the eyes – indeed colourful –with lots of corn, carrots, sweet peas, carrots and broccoli.

The garlic mashed potato had a smooth texture and was pleasing to the palate.
The 2 huge pots of soup were also tempting. I tried the hot & sour soup as well as the pumpkin soup.

The local food section had irresistible daging gulai kampong, ikan tenggiri masak lada hitam to name a few.

I also tried  the escalope  of salmon, sautéed vegetable , beurre blanc. The stuffed chicken breast with prawn mousse was delicious, and so was the roast lamb braised lentil garlic confit.
Clams and brinjal

Oh ya ..how can I forget this – there’s also a Japanese section –you will find sashimi and sushi here. I love the freshness of the prawns and the salmon sashimi. The sake saba with salt and lemon was a hit!

And if you aren’t full yet after all these – there’s fried rice and kuay teow too!

Dumplings

The dessert was heavenly –truly a delight for those with sweet tooth – marsh mellows , chocolate fountain, ice creams, cheese cakes. Chinese ang ku, pandan layer cake….and fruits, of course.
Overall, I’ll say this is one of the better buffets in town. And if you have Amex, use it for a ‘buy 1 free 1 ‘ offer.
