Makan Trip To Kuantan - Swan Seafood Restaurant

Swan Seafood Restaurant is one place we’ve been introduced to through Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan. It’s a place where no pork is served.

5 of use made a reservation the day before and we really thank God we did because this place is really popular among the Kuantan folks. When we arrived at 8pm all the tables were occupied…..Hey, where’s my table? We had to wait for 3 minutes for them to set our table…not too bad.

We were really hungry and the gluttons in us settled on 7 dishes…yes SEVEN!!

Stir fried yau mak with garlic….tasty and had sufficient wok hei –definitely superb by my standards.

This is the stir fried kangkung. I believe Westerners refer to this as the water spinach and it is hardly found in Western countries.

Next was venison with ginger and onion. Yummy..yummy…must be the best version I’ve had in years. Thumbs up!

This is tofu with minced meat. It had some spring onion as garnishing. I am not a fan of tofu so I tried one piece and it was good.

Nestum prawns –the dish which truly deserved a score of 9.5/10. The prawns were succulent and nestum crunchy.

This is the asam tilapia fish. Even though it was a fresh water fish, it hardly had any mud smell…well done Chef for such an appealing dish!

This is the final dish of the night – chicken with prawn crackers. The chicken pieces were flavoursome and I really enjoyed it. Truly divine!
