Full House, Sunway Pyramid

It has been a while since we set foot in Full House and for that very reason, we went there earlier today.
The place still looks spick and span, I noticed that their signature Mini car was a hit with the children who were flocking the place with their families.

We ordered a few dishes and what I like is that they serve drinks to children in paper cups, so it gives me peace of mind as I always get very worried when eateries serve drinks in tall glasses to children.

And if eating alone does not leave you satisfied and the shopaholic in you need to spend more money, there are clothes for sale too at the back portion of this café.

Restaurant Joe Joe, Viva Home

We wanted to try something not too complicated at Viva Home and that was how we turned up at Joe Joe.

The three of us ordered different drinks :- apple &lime with sour plum (RM7.90); soya bean with grass jelly (RM5.90) and celery & starfruit with sour plum (RM7.90).

I had the seafood noodle soup (RM11.90)  - with a generous amount of prawns and crabsticks and fish fillet, this ‘pot’ of noodle was  nothing short of exquisite.

Cantonese style fried noodles (RM8.90) – bursting with flavour, will certainly tingle your taste bud.

Tiger prawn sang mee (RM15.90) – fragrant noodles with a gravy which was a tad starchy for me.

Fried vege fish ball (RM6.90) – smooth and springy textured fish balls are always a delight.

Bar B.Q. Plaza, Main Place USJ21

Bar B.Q Plaza has a few outlets located in major shopping malls. Today was my first attempt at trying some Bar B.Q. Plaza food. The outlet located on the lower ground floor of Main Place was abuzz as we walked in.

We were greeted ‘Sawadee-kap’ and I was surprised as I had thought that this was a Mongolian concept cuisine but I later found out that the guy who first came up with the idea of Bar B.Q Plaza was Thai.

We ordered the family combo priced at RM88.80 which came with 4 drinks, 4 garlic fried rice, thai fish cake, fried bacon, marinated chicken drumstick and a mixed platter.

For beginners or first timers, there is no need to feel overly anxious as there is a ‘How to Cook?’ Guide placed on every table.

In fact, the waiters are so conscientious that when you are first ushered to your table, they do take the trouble to find out whether that is your first visit to Bar B.Q. Plaza and they take the pain to go through the guide with you. That makes a world of difference to me and I would say I love the food as well as the impeccable service given to us that day.

Cicerello’s, Fremantle

If you are wondering why I have not updated my blog for about a week, thats because I was out of the country.

About half an hour’s drive or so  from Perth is the village …oops CITY of Fremantle. Frankly I find it to be a little too tiny to be a city. Anyway Fremantle is a harbour due to its location which is just at the mouth of the Swan River.

I took a stroll along its streets and got the feeling that I was back in time….many of the streets will give you the feeling that you are somehow lost in the 19th century.

Well, maybe this is what charms most tourist and after an hours' walk I decided it was time to eat.

My choice was none other than Cicerello’s. Established in 1903, it prides itself as ‘Western Australia’s Number 1 Fish n Chips’. The view from the restaurant is simply mesmerising and the atmosphere is relaxing.

I chose to sit right next to the harbour. Many ships are docked there and birds are flying everywhere.

I ordered 2 types of food (yes..because I was starving after all the walking). The lady took my order  and I paid up. I expected to be given my food…but no, she gave me this device and told me to wait for my turn.

I went back to my table and after some time, the device  vibrated . So I  went back to the counter and collected my food.

I really loved the tasting plate. Everything was so fresh...….finished up everything…after all it costs a bomb (after conversion it would be over RM100!)

I didn’t finish the fish and chips (which by the way was ordered because I wanted to find out how WA’s best fish and chips tasted) perhaps because I was too full after eating the tasting plate and also because I am not that crazy for fish and chips.
