I was at Green View again recently as I was invited for a
birthday celebration. My last visit was a very pleasant one as the food was
really superb.
Four seasons – I recall seeing from the menu that it was
priced at RM180. The fried mee hoon basket was crispy and I love it. The contents
of the basket was stir fried sweet peas with some scallops, carrots, baby corn
and water chestnut, which was very palatable too.
The item near the spoon resembles a piece of ‘boxing’
chicken….and most of us were fooled into believing so….but one bite will tell
you it wasn’t chicken, but some crispy wanton…and what looks like the chicken
bone was actually sugar cane. Oh how creative!
Sang har meen, a specialty here at Green View. Frankly I was
rather disappointed with what was served that day as I had tasted a far better
version of this noodles right here at this very same restaurant.
This is pomfret – another of their specialty – fish fillet
cooked with celery, carrots and sweet peas on one side….and many people would
think yeah, we’ve polished up the fish…but hang on, flip it over, and lo and
behold, there is another half of the fish – uneaten. And what you get is deep
fried fish – delicious and creative, yes, once again!
Roasted chicken with prawn crackers – an all-time favourite
of all children. I must say the ones here are really good -think of the perfect roasted chicken…well,
begin with words like juicy, succulent, tender, delicious – it fits the bill!
Roasted man tou and the healthier version i.e the steam man
tou – suffice to say that they are really addictive!
Stir fried kai lan – well, just average.
Steam Australian crabs with eggs – at a whopping RM180 per
kg, this crabs were really to die for – soft, delicate and sweet – I just couldn’t
resist having more!
Freshly cut fruits for dessert
