It was time for makan ,after a
walkabout in Bukit Tinggi trying to haggle for the best priced fresh
vegetables which were on sale. There were lots of people there probably due to the long Hari Raya Haji weekend.
We decided on Loong Sing as the place was full
of customers, which usually meant that the food was good. The first thing that
caught my attention was this bottled filled with tiny chilies. I gathered enough courage to
try one…and boy , it was really HOT! I had no choice but to grab a bottle of
this imperatae cane drink.
This is vermicelli in a pungent
ginger frog leg soup. I would say the texture
of the frog meat is more tender than chicken and definitely fat free!
Ginger lends a sweet yet pungent taste to the soup.
We also tried 2 other noodle
dishes and I must say that the Loong Sing does wonders for noodle lovers! No
wonder the place is always packed!
