Mandy’s would best be
described as a simple, no frills eatery which serves pretty decent food at very
reasonable prices. And it is for these reasons that patrons keep coming
back..and oh, did I mention about the decorations that adorn the walls –
business cards, records and bags and luggage from of old…these are what your
eyes can feast on if you come to Mandy’s.
I’ve been to Mandy’s
numerous times and I can order food without looking at the menu. The concept
here is simple –order your food & pay at the cashier’s, then choose your
table and enjoy your meal.
We ordered nasi lemak
(RM8.95) – this is served with an interesting array of condiments – peanuts,
anchovies, a fried egg, some long beans, sambal, sliced cucumbers and a
generous serving of chicken curry. This is my all time favourite dish at
Mandy’s.
Teriyaki chicken (RM5.99) –
this was a promotional item for the day.
Footlong sausage (RM17.50) –
2 long sausages served with fries and a dollop of coleslaw- the sausages were
amazingly tasty!
Spaghetti with beef balls -
(RM13.80) – just look at the angel hair pasta- long and fine – always a
favourite with kids.
For the record, milk shakes
are sold at RM5.80, whilst the super yummy avocado drinks go for RM6.50.
If you have the chance, try
the bubur cha cha (RM3.50) –it won’t disappoint.
