I’ve come across reviews of this restaurant a couple of times in the newspapers and decided to try it out one hot evening. Looking for this place was easy. If you are familiar with SS19 , drive past the row of shop lots in front of the most popular Chinese school in Subang known as Lick Hung until you see Subang Crab House on your right. It occupies a corner shop lot. There is ample parking along the road.
There is a sign which says that no pork is served here. Newspaper articles can be seen on the walls. The menu is simple and rather limited.
The minute I plopped into my chair, this plate of RM3 snacks was served. I’ve never like this salty ‘beans’ and so had to give it a pass.
Stir fried Hong Kong kai lan (RM10) – a little burnt. That says it all!
Sweet & sour fish (RM42) – this dish was excellent. The fish was fried to perfection. It was still crunchy when served. When I doused it into the sweet and sour gravy, what I got was indeed an excellent piece of delight.
Steamed crab with ginger – at a hefty price tag of RM42 per kg, this plate of crabs weighing 1.5kgs worked out to be RM63. The price was justified as the crabs were meaty and juicy…and did I say fresh & yummy? Love it.
