Shark’s fin soup – this dish used to be a must at every
reunion dinner. In ancient China, it was
only consumed by the emperors. Sharks fin began to gain popularity as the
average Chinese could soon afford to have it albeit only on special occasions
such as Chinese New Year and at weddings.
I love the soft, stringy texture of this soup (at Noble House)
Abalone – another delicacy consumed during special events.
The ones served at Noble House this Chinese New Year were priced at over RM500
each, but I must admit, they were superb!
