Located on the second floor of Big C is
this food court which I would refer to as the Big C Food Court. For the record,
Big C is a hypermarket selling all sorts of stuff from groceries to clothes and
even furniture.
To get food at this food court, you have
to first obtain this card, which has to be prepaid using cash. It is better to
‘load’ the card with a higher credit as any unutilised balance will be refunded
upon presentation of the card to the cashier.
This is fried noodles –Thai style. With
some chillies placed at the side of the plate, this dish was aromatic – the
noodles were fried with chives, prawns and some eggs as well as bean sprouts.
This is rice with minced meat fried with
some long beans and greens. The portion was rather small, but well, it came
with a fried egg…and all this costs less than RM8 - so no complaints.
Noodles with meat ball and meat slices –
just look at the colour of the broth. This wholesome bowl of noodles were not
only aromatic but superbly delicious.
Thailand is always full of surprises and
the Big C food court definitely was a gem. Look at what we found here – fish
maw soup with what looks like instant noodles to me. Fish maw to me is a delicacy, especially so
here in Malaysia, but in Bangkok…you can practically find it anywhere…even in
food courts! And hey, they are very reasonably priced too.
